Hockey Canada announced its full roster for the 2010 Olympic Winter Games..

Heatley, who also skated with Team Canada during its fifth-place finish at the 2006 Olympics in Torino, Italy, has been an international star for his home country. He holds the Canadian record for most career points at the IIHF World Championship (52), most career goals (42), most goals at one IIHF World Championship (12), and shares the record for most points at one IIHF World Championship (20), a record he shares with Canada’s Olympic Team General Manager Steve Yzerman.

The Calgary, Alberta native owns gold medals from the 2003 and 2004 IIHF World Championships, a silver medal from the 2005 and 2008 IIHF World Championships. Named Top Forward and MVP at both the 2004 and 2008 Worlds, he also played for Canada at the 2002 event. Heatley also skated for Canada at the 2000 and 2001 IIHF World Junior Championships, winning the bronze in appearances.

Heatley, an eight-year NHL veteran, is in his first season with the San Jose Sharks, where his 23 goals are tied for fourth in the league and his 44 points rank seventh. Heatley’s Sharks sit atop the Western Conference’s Pacific Division with 55 points, a total that also shares the top spot in the NHL.

Getzlaf who just recently scored his 100th goal in the NHL will be appearing in his second straight Olympics for the Canadians. Getzlaf is among the 13 forwards announced via telecast shown across Canada.

Not including 2010, Jarome Iginla has been a part of two Olympic men’s hockey teams. He was a part of the 2002 gold-medal team and finished seventh in 2006. Iginla has made an appearance at the Olympics, world championships, World Cup of Hockey and world junior championships during his illustrious career.

The 2010 Olympic Winter Games run Feb. 12-28 in Vancouver, British Columbia in Canada. The men’s hockey tournament runs Feb. 16-28.

Re-engineered for a stiffer flex profile throughout the taper area to provide a lightning quick release, the S19 is a pro-style stick that features an enhanced feel for the puck thanks to a new blade design.

The S19 blade features a multi-core design with an upper portion featuring a structural core and a lower portion utilizing a solid core designed for dampening. The design improves the feel, puck control and shot accuracy.

“We sent Dan Cleary a couple prototypes before the 2009 postseason – he never went back, scored nine goals, had six assists, really one of the best postseasons of his career,” said Ned Goldsmith, Senior Vice President of Easton Hockey. “Zach Parise had a career year with the S17, and after a couples skates with the S19 he’s starting the 2009-2010 season with it. There’s a hundred other stories like it – from top to bottom, this stick will start blanketing NHL locker rooms.”

Like Easton’s S17—the No. 1 stick in the NHL in 2009—the S19 features a Kevlar®-wrapped, compression-molded shaft for maximum durability, power and feel, plus Easton’s patented TORX™ technology for increased torsional strength and rigidity to the blade.

The S19 stick is currently available at major sporting goods retailers.
