Leading Manufacturer Dominates Stick Usage at Pro Level

VAN NUYS, Calif. – Easton Hockey, the industry leader in manufacturing technologically advanced hockey equipment, has once again started an NHL season with a red hot streak. More than 40 percent of NHLers from Anaheim to Ottawa, including half of the top ten scoring leaders, are using Easton one-piece and two-piece sticks, according to Ned Goldsmith, vice president of Easton Hockey.

“As illustrated in locker rooms across the NHL, the majority of players in the league prefer Easton’s unique technologies and performance benefits,” said Goldsmith.

The NHL points leader board shows a who’s who of hockey as five of the top ten are scoring with Easton, including Dany Heatley, Daniel Alfredsson, Eric Staal, and Peter Forsberg Also, four of the top five defensemen scoring leaders include Easton’s Bryan McCabe, Lubomir Visnovsky, Nicklas Lidstrom, and Wade Redden.

“Easton is known for its innovation and ingenuity in its sticks,” said Peter Forsberg, center for Philadelphia. “They raise their game with each new stick, which helps me raise my game on the ice. I wouldn’t trade using the most advanced sticks in the game for anything.”

EASTON’S NEW STEALTH S15 AND SYNERGY SE16 SKATES BRING ENHANCED SPEED AND COMFORT TO SKATE LINE
Pros Dany Heatley and Ryan Getzlaf Sport the New Easton Skate Line

VAN NUYS, Calif. (October 24, 2007) – The best skates in hockey just got even better. Easton Hockey has introduced two new skates for 2008 – the Stealth S15 and the Synergy SE16. The Stealth S15, touted as the lightest performance hockey skate on the market, is the latest addition to the highly regarded Stealth skate line. The Synergy line also receives a new addition with the SE16, a stellar combination of comfort, protection and durability.

“Easton has jumped to the forefront of the skate market in the past few years and the Stealth S15 and Synergy SE16 are reconfirming our position,” said Ned Goldsmith, vice president of Easton Hockey. “Easton’s NHL players are already raving about the new additions. Dany Heatley of the Ottawa Senators and Ryan Getzlaf of the Anaheim Ducks have both been thrilled with the performance and comfort the new skates provide. Now it’s time to get the product into consumers’ hands and let them experience the superiority of Easton skates.”

The Stealth S15, representing the lightest performance hockey skate on the market, weighs in at sub-700 grams. Its patented Coil Technology uses silver texalium composite material to provide a lightweight, responsive and protective bootform, perfect for high-speed hockey action. The S15 also provides a Bio-Dri™ Composite Footbed to absorb moisture and eliminate the difficulties that perspiration presents.

The Synergy SE16 features a brand new Ideal-Fit™ latex anatomical ankle padding system that allows for tremendous support and comfort. With its unique, one-piece construction, the SE16 is the ideal combination of performance and durability.

EASTON HOCKEY CREATES REVOLUTIONARY NEW STEALTH™ S17 STICK
Top of the Line Stick Emphasizes Energy, Velocity and Accuracy

VAN NUYS, Calif. (October 24, 2007) – Easton Hockey, the designer and manufacturer of the No. 1 stick in the NHL, has introduced the Stealth™ S17 stick, the most technologically advanced stick on the market. NHL superstars such as Ottawa right wing Dany Heatley, Minnesota right wing Marian Gaborik and Anaheim center Ryan Getzlaf are enjoying the stick’s new technology right from the start. With the Stealth S17, Easton has produced an industry-first elliptical design, according to Ned Goldsmith, vice president of Easton Hockey.

“There is no other stick like this in the world,” said Goldsmith. “As soon as you pick it up you can tell it is something special – not only because of the phenomenal balance, but because of the totally unique shape through the elliptical section. We can hardly make them fast enough.”

Easton’s Stealth S17 focuses on three main qualities vital to every hockey player: Energy, Velocity and Accuracy. The compression molded process used in constructing the Stealth S17 delivers the most consistent shaft in hockey, maximizing the energy transfer from your hands to the blade and thereby providing a more powerful shot. Meanwhile, the innovative TORX™ technology features an Elliptical Profile (patent pending) to help transfer torque from your hands to the blade for unsurpassed velocity. Easton’s patented Micro-Bladder process and Multi-Rib structure controls blade flex through puck contact to ensure maximum accuracy.
“If I could hit a one foot corner of the net on a one timer before, I can hit a 6” corner now,” said Ottawa right wing Dany Heatley. “I’ve never been more accurate or shot harder. I love it.”

The Stealth™ S17 will be introduced in five unique patterns (Sakic, Forsberg, Lidstrom, Iginla and Iginla Jr) in both grip and non-grip models. All models will be available at retail stores beginning November 2007.

EASTON HOCKEY DOMINATES FIRST HALF OF NHL SEASON; 2007 NHL ALL-STAR GAME
Daniel Briere Named All-Star Game MVP; Zach Parise Named YoungStars Game MVP

VAN NUYS, Calif. (January 26, 2007) – Easton Hockey, makers of the #1 stick and glove in the NHL, flexed their muscle at the 2007 NHL All-Star Game in the American Airlines Center in Dallas. Easton had 11 all-stars in this year’s game including Dany Heatley, Joe Sakic, Nik Lidstrom, and 2007 all-star game MVP Daniel Briere, again proving that Easton is hockey’s premier brand, according to Ned Goldsmith, vice president of Easton Hockey.

Using Easton’s all-new Synergy Elite stick and S15 Stealth skates, Briere tallied the game’s first goal and added four assists, earning him game MVP honors. Brian Rolston made his presence felt with two goals and two assists. Heatley (one goal, two assists) and Martin St. Louis (one goal), who lead the NHL in goal scoring at the break with 30 each, also played exceptionally well for the Eastern Conference squad.

Sakic had a record setting evening. His four assists, which led the Western Conference to the wide open 12-9 victory, gave him a record 16 career all-star assists. His 22 career all-star points moves him to third place all time.

Zach Parise of the New Jersey Devils was explosive in the YoungStars game. He led the East team to a 9-8 victory with two goals and four assists. Parise’s performance earned him YoungStars MVP.

“At the midpoint of the season 23 of the top 50 goal scorers in the league use Easton sticks. Winning starts with scoring and this shows that Easton sticks are scoring by far the most goals of any brand,” Goldsmith said. “The 23 Easton scorers in the top 50 is the same total as the next four brands combined. To go along with the number of goals scored, Easton players score when it matters. Easton players have netted an amazing 82 game winning goals which is two more than the next four brands combined.”

Easton Hockey is excited to release exceptional new products in 2007 including the Stealth S15 skate, Synergy Elite stick, S11 gloves and a complete line of Synergy Performance Series apparel. All gear is currently being used by Easton’s NHL roster and will be launched in March of 2007.
